Lapland - Indian Summer

Abisko Canyon

For the last 9 days I hosted a Photo-Trip to Swedish Lapland. Our journey brought us to the Swedish mountain world, north of the Arctic Circle, next to the Norwegian border. We visited the pristine National Parks of the UNESO World Heritage Site "Laponia", the Sarek National Park and the Stora Sjöfallet National Park. At the end of the trip we spent some wonderful days in the Abisko National Park. This region is often called as "Europe's last Wilderness" or "the Alaska of Europe".

We had everything one can wish for a journey to Lapland! We experienced the colorful Indian Summer, had views form mountain tops that showed us the vastness and wildness of this region and at night the magical lights of the Aurora Borealis was dancing above us!
